OverviewThis guide will show users how to create Deposits within Reserve, post a Journal Entry batch for the imported deposit, and view the Outstanding Banquets Deposits report. Use Case: The user can automatically record ReServe/Infor Banquets deposits to a liability account in CMA, and automatically apply the credit toward the Event Invoice on the corresponding Member’s AR once the Event is closed. Accessing the Tool
Once logged into ReServe Cloud, access the event Eevent by selecting Events on the left hand side.
While viewing the event calendarEvent Calendar, double click the event name Event Name to open the Event page.
Next, select View Financial Details.

Under the Events Payments Received section, select Record Payment.
Input the Deposit Amount and set Payment Type to Deposit or Security Deposit.
Set the Payment Method to Check and then Save at the bottom left.

Within CMA
Viewing The Deposit
Within CMA, find the deposit by navigating to System, System Settings, and then expand the Partner Products drop down list.
Next, click on ReServe Gateway and navigate to the Transactions tab.
Set your date range to the date of the deposit (or when the Event was closed) and click Refresh to pull in the transaction.
Posting a Journal Entry Batch
Once the deposit has been found, double click the name associated with the transaction to open up the corresponding Journal Entry.
From here you can post a navigate to the General Ledger module and click Approve Journal Entry Batches.
Next, find the associated deposit transaction in the batch listing and double click to open.
After previewing the Journal Entry (GJ) batch that imports into CMA from Reserve associated with this deposit (this , click Post Batch. This will debit the Reserve liability account, and credit the member’s AR account).
Viewing the Report
Once the Journal Entry (GJ) batch is posted, navigate to Interactive Reports and run the Outstanding Banquets Deposits report. To do so, first access the Interactive Reports. Expand the Reservations list by clicking ( + ) and select the Outstanding Banquets Deposits report.
Once the report has been selected, Set your date and click View Report.
The deposit will be listed on the report, as the event has not been closed to apply the balance.
Verification
Once the Event is closed in ReServe, the Event will import into CMA and the deposit will be applied towards the invoice as a payment (Deposit Invoice Payment Type) hitting the debit ledger of the payment type, and crediting the deposit liability account.
Return to the ReServe Gateway, Transactions tab. Double click the member name for the transaction to view the invoice.

Navigate to the Membership module in CMA.
Open the member’s profile and navigate to the AR Activity tab where you can find the Invoice for the Event.
Here deposits that have been applied to the event total can be verifiedwill appear under Check Banquets.
Once closed, the deposit Deposit will be removed from the Outstanding Banquets Deposits report, as the funds have been applied to the balance of an eventEvent.
