Categories that have been synced to the mPOS will show on the left, and the open space to the right is for setting your print configurations.  Select a Category and you will see your options to start adding print configurations to this category. If you wish to create a new rule for specific Items, select the Item Overrides tab and follow the same instructions below.

If no rule is created, you can start by pressing the “Add Rule” button to start a new rule.  If one exists, you can press the pencil icon to edit.

The From Type works in conjunction with the From field. These fields are used if the club has more than one kitchen or bar. Click the down arrow to get a list of options.

  1. From Type Options:

Device

If the Item is to print to a specific Prep Printer (kitchen/bar) based on the Terminal location, click the down arrow and choose From a Device.

Example: The club has an upstairs and downstairs kitchen, if an item is sent from a POS upstairs it will always print to the upstairs kitchen no matter what Area was selected

Area

  1. Example: you have an upstairs and downstairs kitchen, if an item is sent from the Dining Room it always prints to the downstairs kitchen even if it was sent from an upstairs terminal.

  2. Please Note: If Area is selected ALL Areas that send orders must be setup > to Add another Area configuration click the add rule icon; this will create another line to add an additional single area print configuration.

Area Category

This option works the same as Areas except it pulls from the Area Category instead of individual Areas

From Column Options:

Please Note: The lists will vary from club to club.

  1. If Device was selected the list will populate all devices.

  2. If Area was selected the list will populate all the Areas setup in your system. You must setup and configure each Area that prints orders to a remote printer

  3. If Area Category was selected the list will populate all the Area Categories set up in your system.

  4. Anywhere will only give the option Anywhere.

To Type Options

The To Type works in conjunction with the To field.

To Type:

Printer –Printer refers to single printers set up.

Printer Group – this is the preferred setup; using groups makes it easy to reroute orders to a different printer if a printer dies or orders need to reroute to a different kitchen or bar.

To:

  1. If the Printer option was selected the system will list, after selecting the magnifying glass, all Printers setup in your system.

  2. If the Printer Group option was selected the system will list, after selecting the magnifying glass, all printer groups set up in your system.

Start Time & End Time

Used when an Area of the club uses more than one kitchen or bar in one day.

  • Example: The club’s orders print to a grill kitchen from 8am to 3pm and then from 3:01pm to close the orders print to the Main Kitchen printer.

Day Of Week

Used only if certain days Areas of the club use more than one kitchen or bar, if this applies to more than one day each day will need to be set up separately.

(Last section in original guide is the message field, this is not used on the config site).

Once finished, hit the Save icon

  1. Now we have two options, we can start making additional rules for the Category if other printers and rules are needed.  We can also copy this rule to other Categories.  If you want the same printer rules to follow if set up by an Area or Device, select the copy button, then choose the Categories you want to copy this rule to.

  2. To delete a Print Routing rule, select the Trash Can Icon while in edit mode.
