Overview

  • In this guide we will cover the Item Sales by Tender Type, Items Purchased by Members, and Member Item Category Spending Reports. You will learn how to run each report and will see an example of the data that each report will produce.

Accessing the Tool

Interactive Reports gives you the ability to filter, sort, and group the data using criteria. The available criteria are specific to the information the report contains. The report functions give you the ability to customize date settings, save criteria settings, delete saved reports, and schedule an email delivery. In this section you will learn how to use the criteria and report functionality.

  1. Click on the Interactive Reports Icon from the left menu bar. 

  2. On the Report Overview page, there is a list of reporting categories to choose from, or the User can search for a topic in the top search bar. It is best to keep the topic as broad as possible. If the club wants to see POS sales search for sale.

Item Sales By Tender Type

Provides a list of Charge Settlement Types with the associated Items based on a specific date range. Can be filtered by Item Groups, Item Categories, and Areas.

To run Item Sales By Tender Type, select the report from the Items Dropdown,

  1. Select the Date Range.

  2. Choose your Item Group/s.

  3. Select the Area/s.

  4. Choose the Item Categories.

  5. Set the Detail Level.

  6. Select View Report.

In this example we chose the run the report for two months with a detail level of Item so that the report ran fully expanded. We see the Item, Units Sold, Member Charge Dollars, Cash Dollars, Credit Card Dollars, Credit Book Dollars, Gift Card Dollars, Tax, Service Charge, Discounts, and Net Sales. We also get the Item Category and Item Groups Totals.

Items Purchased by Members

Provides a list of all purchases made by Members based on Items during a specific date range with the ability to filter by Area, Item Groups, Item Categories, Member Types, and Member Groups. Search feature available for a specific Item or Member. Group by Member Family, Member, Item, Member Type, Spending Level, or Age. Detail down from Member Family to Item. Can enter an age and spending range to help filter out unwanted information. Option to hide zero balance purchases, include transaction details, include tax and service charge, or exclude guest members. 

To run Items Purchased by Members, select the report from the Items Dropdown,

  1. Choose the Date Range for the report.

  2. Set start and end date

  3. Select the Item Group/s.

  4. Choose the Member Type/s.

  5. Establish how to Group By.

  6. Choose the report’s Detail Level.

  7. Select the Item Categories.

  8. Choose the Member Groups.

  9. Set an Age Range to further filter your report.

  10. Choose the Area/s.

  11. If needed, set a specific Item.

  12. Choose a Member.

  13. Set the Spending Range.

  14. Select View Report.

In this example we ran the report for a a month, using the “All” selection for all fields. We chose to run this report with a detail level of Item to ensure it ran fully expanded and have grouped by member family. We see the Member Family and items purchased, Purchase Date, Units Sold, Sales Dollars, Discount, Total, Tax, Service Charge, and Gratuity.

In this example we ran the report only looking for sales of one item. We see the Item Purchased, the Purchase Date, Units Sold, Sales Dollars, Discounts, Total, Tax, Service Charge, and Gratuity.

Member Item Category Spending

Summarizes member spending by Item Category with the ability to filter by Member Types, Member Statuses, and Item Groups.  Group by Item Group, Item Category, or Area. Option to Include Quantity, Include Tax and Service charge, and Exclude Guest Member. 

To run Member Item Category Spending, select the report from the Item Dropdown,

  1. Choose the Date Range.

  2. Set the start and end date

  3. Choose the Member Type/s.

  4. Decide how to Group By,

  5. Choose the Member Statuses to show.

  6. Set the Item Group/s.

  7. Select View Report.

In this example we ran the report for one month and have chosen to group by Item Group. The report has no need to expand sections. We see the Member Number, Member Name, Member Type, City, State, Birthday, Age, Dues & Recurring, as well as the rest of the Categories with spending.
