Club Intelligence - Reading the Pulse Tab
Table of Contents
Overview
The Pulse tab in Club Intelligence is a centralized location where you can stay on top of your most important KPIs across multiple dashboards and set pulse alerts on these KPIs. By adding important KPIs from your dashboards to Pulse, you can get a comprehensive picture of your data from a single location.Â
For example, you can consolidate and monitor important aspects of your business by adding important values from widgets from various dashboards to the Pulse page. Then, you can create alerts to notify you when certain thresholds are met or anomalies in your data are detected. The Pulse tab provides you with access to your most important data and notifies you when to take action.   Â
Required Permissions
Club Intelligence AccessÂ
Accessing the Tool
Go to Admin Bar.Â
Select Club Intelligence.Â
Access Pulse from the menu bar of Club Intelligence.Â
Using the Pulse Tab
By hovering over the header of any tile in Pulse, you can view additional options for your tiles:Â Â Â
Open Dashboard – opens a new tab in your browser with the dashboard where the widget originated is displayed.Â
Info – provides details on when the notification is sent, created, and last modified.Â
Menu – allows you to edit, duplicate, turn on/off, and delete the notification.Â
Latest – shows the most current metrics for the selected Pulse Tile.Â
History – shows the history of this metric since the alert was created.Â
Add a Tile to PulseÂ
In order to create a pulse alert, you need to have an indicator and define a threshold for it. When that threshold is met, a notification is sent with the relevant message to the list of recipients that was defined.Â
Navigate to the dashboard and widget that you would like to add to Pulse.Â
For an Indicator widget, from the widget's menu, select Add to Pulse.Â
For other types of widgets, right-click any value in the chart and select Add to Pulse.Â
Please Note: For each type of widget you can add to Pulse, you can monitor a single value. For example, for column charts you can monitor a single section (value) of a column. To monitor multiple values, you can add each value you want to monitor to Pulse separately.Â
Fill out the Add to Pulse box to create an alert.Â
Name – Enter a meaningful name that represents your alert.Â
Alert Conditions – Select the condition that triggers the alerts. There are three alert conditions that can trigger an alert.Â
Threshold – Club Intelligence notifies you when a threshold is reached following a build. This condition is useful for monitoring metrics that follow a regular, cyclical schedule. Â
If selecting this trigger, enter the threshold that will trigger the alert.Â
Automatic – Club Intelligence automatically notifies you when the CI alert engine identifies an anomaly in your data based on machine learning algorithms. The CI algorithm actively learns from your data and eliminates noise to identify anomalies in your data. CI’s anomaly detection is based on a smoothing algorithm that takes the latest values into account.Â
Always – Club Intelligence will update the alert hourly. Not recommended for most situations as it can become noisy.Â
Click Add to create the alert. The alert is added to Pulse.  Â
