The Avigilon Alta integration connects the Clubessential Mobile App with Avigilon Alta access control technology, allowing members to use the Clubessential Mobile App as a secure digital key for facility access.

This integration improves the member experience by providing convenient, touchless access to club facilities such as fitness centers, pools, courts, and other secured areas. Members can unlock doors using the Clubessential Mobile App instead of physical access cards.

Required Permissions

To use the functionality described in this article, the following access is required:

• Clubessential Mobile App – Member Login Access

• Mobile Device – Location Services Enabled (Always On recommended for background functionality)

Use the Clubessential Mobile App as a Digital Key

1. Install the Clubessential Mobile App on your mobile device.

2. Log in to the Clubessential Mobile App at least once.

3. Enable location services on your device.

4. If you want the app to function while running in the background, set location services to "Always On."

5. Approach an Avigilon Alta reader with your mobile device.

6. Present your phone near the reader or wave your hand near the reader while your phone is nearby.

7. Wait for the reader to recognize your device and unlock the door.

Understanding How the Integration Works

The Avigilon Alta integration uses a combination of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular technology. The first available signal recognized by the reader is used for authentication.

The integration also performs an hourly synchronization of the active member roster from Clubessential to Avigilon Alta. Manual synchronization can be performed when necessary.

• Ensure members have logged into the Clubessential Mobile App before attempting to use digital key functionality.

• Enable "Always On" location services if members want the app to function while running in the background.
