Power and Speed
Cloud-Based Mobile POS
Runs via a cloud based network so as fast as the club’s current internet network setup.
Uses incremental snapshots of the club’s database (i.e. only using what it needs at any given time to save load waits).
Classic POS
Based on server speed and operating system as well as local network speeds.
Pulls in the entire database every time it is opened (i.e. the more data to pull the longer it will take).
Visual Aesthetic
Cloud-Based Mobile POS
Naturally designed for tablet and iPad use, and built to be responsive to various platforms.
All menus auto-fill spaces top-down, left to right based on their screen group positioning.
Classic POS
Has minimum and maximum aspect ratios; was not built for HD.
What you see is what you get; buttons built in the screen group display in exact same place on POS.
Hardware Requirements
Cloud-Based Mobile POS
Clubessential POS is an app found in the iOS and Android App Stores. It is possible to use the Google Chrome Web Browser for Mobile POS operation. This can be on any machine with a full-sized monitor capable of running the most recent version of Google Chrome. Machine RAM requirements: 4GB (Minimum); 8GB (Preferred).
Standard 9.7 inch iPad or 2019 iPad Mini. iPhone not supported. We recommend:
iPad (2021/9th Generation) - Optimal
iPad Mini (2019/5th Generation or greater)
iPad Air (2019/3rd Generation or greater)
*If purchasing new, we recommend the newest version of the iPad available.
