Composing an Email

After adding recipients and a subject line, click Click to Edit - New on the email compose screen.

Create Email Body

Create the body of the email using the different content options below: 

Content

Drag and drop content options such as text, hosted video(s), images, a button, etc. to your structure and then begin editing. Each content option has different properties as well as Block Options to control the padding (the spacing border around the text) and visibility. Content options are below:

  1. Text

    • Text color - the color used for the text.

    • Link color - the color used for any hyperlink.

    • Line height - the spacing between each line of text.

    • Letter spacing - the spacing between each letter of text.

  2. Image- Add images by clicking browse or by dragging images from your computer to the image block.

    • Auto width - controls the size of the image.

    • Align - controls the page alignment of the image.

    • Dynamic image - image personalizes to each recipient.

    • Change image - select a new image.

    • Apply effects & more - allows you to filter, crop, resize, and more.

    • Url - auto-populates with a link to the image you select from the browser.

    • Alternate Text - a description of the image for screen readers to user.

    • Image link - Open web page, Send email, Make call, Send SMS.

  3. Button

    • Action - the event that happens when a user clicks the button (Open web page, Send email, Make call, Send SMS).

    • Auto width - controls the size of the button.

    • Background color - the color of the background of the button.

    • Text color - the color used for the text.

    • Align - controls the page alignment of the button.

    • Line height - the spacing between each line of text.

    • Letter spacing - the spacing between each letter of text.

    • Border radius - controls the rounding of the corners of the button (0 = square corners).

    • Content padding - controls the spacing border around the button.

    • Border - formats the outline of your button.

  4. Divider

    • Transparent - determines if the divider is visible or not.

    • Line - controls the appearance of the line.

    • Width - controls the size of the divider.

    • Align - controls the page alignment of the divider.

  5. Social

    • Select icon collection - determines appearance of social icons.

    • Configure icon collection

      • Use the lines to control the order in which the social icons are listed.

      • Use the Url space to add a link to your club’s social media accounts.

      • Use the delete button to remove an option.

    • Add new icon - add additional social media.

    • Align - controls the page alignment of the social icons.

    • Icon spacing - controls the spacing between the social icons.

  6. HTML

    • HTML block - write CSS here (not recommended unless you are an HTML expert).

  7. Video

    • Video url - add the URL link for your video.

  8. Icons

    • Configure icon collection - use the lines to control the order in which the icons are listed.

    • Font family - controls the typeface of the font.

    • Font size - controls the size of the font.

    • Text color - the color used for the text.

    • Align - controls the page alignment of the icons.

    • Letter spacing - the spacing between each letter of text.

    • Icon size - controls the size of the icons.

    • Icon spacing - controls the spacing between icons.

    • Icon padding - controls the spacing border around each icon.

  9. Menu

    • Configure menu items - use the lines to control the order in which the menus items are listed

    • Font family - controls the typeface of the font.

    • Font size - controls the size of the font.

    • Text color - the color used for the text.

    • Link color - the color used for any hyperlink.

    • Align - controls the page alignment of the menu

    • Letter spacing - the spacing between each letter of text.

    • Layout - determines whether the menu items are listed horizontally or vertically.

    • Separator - separates out the menu items (only available in horizontal menu layouts).

    • Mobile menu - controls the mobile appearance of the menu if you would like it to have a separate design.

    • Items padding - controls the spacing border around each menu item.

Rows

Create one column, two columns, and various sized columns for the body of the email. Drag and drop the row selection into the body of the email.

  1. Click on a row to bring up the row settings within the right hand panel.

  2. Click and drag the dots in-between the columns change the sizing.

  3. Use the Add new button to add more columns to an existing row.

  4. Use the trash can icon to delete any columns within a row.

Settings

The Settings tab will format the general settings of the entire email.

  1. Content area width - controls the width of the email body, in pixels.

  2. Content area alignment - controls the alignment of the email body on the page.

  3. Background color - controls the background color of the email body.

  4. Content area background color - controls the background color of each content block.

  5. Default font - controls the font of the entire email body.

  6. Link color - controls the color of hyperlinks in the email body.

Text Editor Menu

Selecting any text in the email will open a text editor menu. This menu allows for text stylings like font, sizing, alignment, color, and more. 

  1. Hyperlink - Highlight the text and select the Insert/Edit Link button. Next, paste the hyperlink needed into the URL field in the Insert/Edit Link menu. 

  2. Snippets - Move your cursor within the email text where you would like to place the snippet. Next, select more > snippets from the text styling menu. Select your snippet then click Add Snippet. The snippet will show in the body of the email.

Preview the Email

Preview the message before sending out to view this as the recipient.

  1. Click Actions.

  2. Click Preview.

Save the Email

Once your email is composed, click the Save button at the top right. This will take you out of the email editor and back to the Compose Email screen.

Save as Template

To save your email as a template for future use, use the “Save as Template” option under the Actions menu at the top left.
