Remote Relays allow member access to non-supervised locations of the club such as the pool, fitness center or gym by using mag reader, scanner, or other peripheral designed to read the member’s information. This guide will demonstrate the steps to install and connect this device with CMA.
Required Permissions
Local IT Installation
CMA Access to System Settings
Installation and Set Up
Local IT will buy the EP310 Ethernet Peripheral from Computerwise.com as well as whatever card reading equipment that will connect to it. (This could be a mag reader, scanner, or other peripheral designed to read the member’s information)
Local IT will install the EP310 and Reader into the locking mechanism of the door the club wishes and connect the EP310 to the local network. This will assign an IP address which will be used later.
The From and To selectors allow time restrictions (i.e. the fitness room and pool availability is from 9am-6pm.)
Click Save.
Best Practices
The card reader device communicates with the Member Swipe ID in CMA. Ensure all members have this field completed for successful usage.
The Remote Relay needs to be able to communicate with the server that contains the Clubsoft service. Make sure the IP address it is installed on can communicate with the Clubessential server.
