Introduction

The Buddy List is a member facing feature that allows for personalized groups to be created to easily manage reservation booking.

Use Case(s):

The Buddy List allows you to add buddies to your different categories, create categories for the different groups you have, email buddy groups, as well as manage buddies for easy event registration.

How to Add Members to the Buddy List

Click on the gray and white “buddy” icon in the upper right hand corner of the page. This icon will appear on every page of the website.

Clicking on this icon will load your buddy list. A row of icons will appear- click the green plus sign to view the listing of members in the website directory.

All last names in the directory starting with the letter A will display automatically. There is an “ABC” icon that you can click to display a keyboard. You can select a letter to display last names beginning with that letter. For example, click the S to display the listing of all members whose last names begin with the letter S. There is also a search field where you can type in the last name, member number, or email of a particular member you are searching for. Click on someone’s name to add them to your buddy list. You will be taken back to your list to see the member that you have added.

(If enabled) To add members to your buddy list that are NOT in the website directory, use the search by email feature. Click the option “find by email”

Enter the email address of the member you would like to add to your buddy list so that you can include them in reservations. You can also include a short message. Click “send invitation. The member will then need to confirm that they would like to be added to your buddy list.

*Note: You might see the green icons next to names as shown below. If the icon is green, it means that member is currently online. The green with a clock icon means the are logged into the website but are away or inactive.

How to Add Buddies in the Calendar Reservation System

Once in the reservation window, members can select the "My Buddies" link then add in members from the buddy list.

How to Add Buddies in the Reservation Systems (Tee Times, Courts, Dining, etc.)

Once inside the booking window, place the cursor in the “type player name” text box. At the bottom of the dropdown, put a check in the “Buddies” check box filter to display the buddies from your buddy list.

Using the Buddy List on Mobile 

In order to pull up the Buddy List on a mobile reservation window, you must type the name of your Buddy List category to see buddies in that group to add to a reservation.
