Overview
Expo Stations allow for the club to manage the line stations and view the tickets and items coming in. The Expo station is updated when items are complete in the line station and can then assemble the orders and can then send to the Facing Station in order for the server to pick up and serve the order.
Required Permissions
Accessing the Tool
Access http://kds.clubessential.com or launch the mobile app and log into your Station using your pin. Choose a line station from the station selection list and continue.
Expo landing page
The Expo landing page is where the user will complete most of their actions. Here the user can view, sell, and re-open tickets.
Settings - Set the configuration of the Station.
Switch Station - Allows you to quickly switch which station you are viewing on this device.
Station History - Will show the History of the day’s orders for this station.
Station Filtering - Show only the tickets you wish to see for this station.
Show All Day - Will provide information on all tickets for the day.
Ticket Window
Tickets will come in as the orders are sent from the point of sale. And will be assigned a color based on the settings of their station for the items. The tickets themselves will change color based on timing.
Color Changes
Ticket headers will change colors based on the course timing settings applied to the station in the Config Site. Each color represents the duration a ticket has been in that station.
Green - Green tickets are tickets that have just come in and are new.
Orange - Warning status for the order
Red - Over/Past due status, orders in this status should be prioritized and bumped if possible.
Filtering
You can filter tickets by:
Table number.
Ticket number.
Member.
There are options to only show mobile orders or overdue tickets.
Ticket Details - The ticket will contain all items that that are set up to be sent to that Station.
Actions that Can Be Taken
Click on the item to progress onward. Clicking on the items lets the Facing Station know that the order is complete and is ready to be picked up from the Facing Station.
Line to Line Ticket Display
The Expo Station will show all portions of the ticket at once. When hot line or cold line have completed their portion of a ticket, Expo’s ticket display will grey out the ones already competed so you know what is being waited on.
Bump Bar
Color Changes - The ticket number on the bump bar will match the color of the status of the ticket.
Actions that can be Taken - You can click on the ticket number and hold in the mouse to get the following options
Print Ticket
Jump to Ticket - If you have many tickets, this will allow you to jump straight to that ticket in order to sell the ticket or review to ensure all components have been completed.
Move ticket (bump position)
Sell - Sends to Facing Station
Sell & Serve - Sell and serve will skip sending the order to the facing station.
All Day Summary
All Day Summary will provide the user with the entire day’s summary of items and orders for this station
Settings
There are two tabs that gives the user control over the station’s settings.
General Settings
General Settings control station level overrides of the defaults configured in the Config Site. Options include:
Audible Alert - Set the station’s Audible Alert to be on/off.
Auto Move to Front - If set to on, when a ticket is re-opened, it will move the ticket to the front of the queue.
Read Only - Will set this station to only view tables and tickets, will not allow the user to progress or affect the tickets in any way.
Reset Station Defaults.
Ticket Settings
Ticket level settings allows the user to override the default settings configured for ticket display in the Config Site. Options Include:
Item Text Size:
Small
Medium
Large
Ticket Identifier - Choose whether the ticket will display the Ticket Number/Member or Table Name/Server by default.
Ticket Layout - Select whether you want to see one row of tickets or two.
Sort By - Select whether you want to see the items on tickets by default (when they were sent) or Seat number in ascending order.
Reset Station Defaults
Station History
Shows the History of the day’s orders for this station. You can set by:
Last Hour
Last 3 Hours
Last 6 Hours
Last 12 Hours
Today
Yesterday
From Station History you can also re-open tickets to place back into this station. Re-opening will take the order out of the Facing Station. You can place the order at the front or end of the bump line.
Best Practices
You cannot re-open a ticket more than 7 hours old in KDS
