Member Profile Updates


Overview

During times when you don't get to see your Members face to face, Admins need Member communication preferences and information to be up to date on the website more than ever. Admins can send out an email, or use a first impression page to encourage Members to update their profile in the site directory. The following guide includes tips that you, the Club Admin, can use in communication to your Members, to help them through this process.

Updating your Member Profile

All of the text boxes on your profile are available to edit. You can enter as much or as little information as you want. To make updates. Navigate to My Profile of the website which can be found on the left navigation bar then open Profile Page where you will see all your information listed in ##SITENAME## Directory.

Uploading a Picture

  1. On the top right of Profile page, select Add Photo link to add a photo to your profile.

  2. Select the Add Photo button and the Add Photo box will appear.

  3. Click the browse to search for the photo you would like to use, then click open. The photo that was chosen will appear in the “Upload New Photo” Text Box.

  4. Select Upload Photo to save your chosen photo for your profile database.

  5. After photo box has uploaded successfully, you can close the dialog box, then click refresh from your profile page and your photo will be added.

  6. Always save your edits by clicking at the bottom of the page. Your changes will be updated to your profile.

Change Your Profile Picture

  1. Select Update Photo link to open dialog box.

  2. Select new photo from your computer’s hard drive then select Upload Photo to save your chosen photo for your profile database.

  3. After photo box has uploaded successfully, you can close the dialog box then click refresh from your profile page and your photo will be added.

  4. Always save your edits by clicking Save My Profile at the bottom of the page. Your changes will be updated to your profile.

Remove Your Profile Picture

  1. Simply select the Remove icon. You will then be prompted to confirm the removal of the photo.

  2. Always save your edits by clicking Save My Profile at the bottom of the page. Your changes will be updated to your profile.

Opt-In Groups

Opt-in Groups are email interests groups established by your Club administrator that allow you to receive Club emails related to specific types of activities and events

  1. To Join an opt-in group select that group from the list and click update opt-in groups. If you click in error, unclick the box and select the update opt-in groups.

  2. Always save your edits by clicking Save My Profile at the bottom of the page. Your changes will be updated to your profile.

Change Your Username and Password

  1. Change your username and password by selecting Change Username or Change Password

  2. Always save your edits by clicking Save My Profile at the bottom of the page. Your changes will be updated to your profile.

Hiding Yourself from Being Shown in the Directory

  1. Hiding Yourself in the Directory will still allow you to edit your Online Profile information, but your name and information will not be displayed to other Members at the Club.

  2. Select Do Not Show Me in the Directory field to hide all of your profile information in the member directory. Please note, Staff Members will still have access to your profile, it will only be inaccessible to other Club Members

  3. The checkboxes next to each field allow you to select whether or not the information will be visible to other Club Members, but will allow your profile to still be visible to other Club Members in the member directory.


Best Practices

  1. Always save your edits by clicking Save My Profile at the bottom of the page. Your changes will be updated to your profile.
